Guillaume Faroux has over 20 years of experience in infrastructure financing, with particular expertise in greenfield projects and CAPEX intensive investments in energy and environmental transition assets. As head of the BTP Impact Local (BTP IL) fund—an investment fund dedicated to small and midcap, core greenfield infrastructure investments in France—Guillaume played a key role in all its phases from structuring and raising to deployment and asset management. BTP IL held its final close in September 2016 with €131 million in commitments and was fully deployed by July 2021. Prior to joining Vauban, Guillaume lead project finance at Spie batignolles, where he gained a strong experience in the French mobility and social infrastructure sectors, closing several transactions including: A63 motorway (€1,100m concession – shareholder, EPC), LGV train line Nîmes-Montpellier (€1,800m PPP - shareholder, EPC), Prisons Lots A and B (€400m - Shareholder - EPC), Tarbes Bypass (40m€ PPP project - shareholder, EPC). Guillaume started his career at CM-CIC in London in structured and acquisition finance, working on energy, telecom and infrastructure large project financings such as power and desalination plants in the Middle East and PPP / PFI infrastructure projects in Great Britain.
