He has developed strong expertise in relation to risk management, investment strategies and asset liability management for insurance companies and over various asset classes with many types of risk. Prior to joining Vauban Infrastructure Partners, Niakar was a senior investment risk manager at AXA where managed risks related to alternative assets (infrastructure, private equity and private debt) and derivatives. Niakar joined AXA in 2014 where he held different roles in risk management, financial engineering and asset liability management for insurance companies.

Niakar is graduated in financial engineering from Grenoble Institute of Technology - Ensimag, in quantitative finance from the university of Grenoble and in corporate sustainability from Centrale Supelec.
