bio

Youcef has more than 10 years of experience in Infrastructure Finance. He joined Vauban Infrastructure Partners in February 2021 to act as CFO of Vauban Infra Fibre and subsequently joined the investment team. Prior to joining the Infrastructure Funds, Youcef worked for more than 6 years at Société Générale in the Infrastructure Project Finance team where he executed both advisory and arranging mandates in Hong-Kong and in Paris. Youcef has extensive experience in structuring and executing infrastructure transactions. He has been involved in brownfield and greenfield transactions across various sectors (digital infrastructures, transports, social infrastructures…) and geographies (France, CEE, APAC…). Lately he had focused on digital assets with a number of successful operations (notably several optic fiber and datacenter transactions). Youcef has developed strong financial modelling and negotiation skills, as well as a broad knowledge of the infrastructure finance market and a deep understanding of legal and technical aspects of infrastructure projects. His past experiences as a banker and as a CFO provide him with a large value-creation skillset from structuring and delivering complex financings to valuing operational levers and optimizing corporate performance.
